multiple news sections
I would like to set up the following structure:

About Us
---News & Events
------Company News (list of news items + user can drill down and view)

Customer Zone
---Recent News (list of news items + user can drill down and view)

1. Now I presume that I would have to create 2 separate document templates and that each document template would reference a separate news table?

2. Alternatively could I use the one news table and create a new flag in the table that will allow me to filter to the records shown in each section?

Note: have actually tried method two and I can get the news to display under Customer Zone (first one i set up), but when I set the SelectNodesPath on control on Company News page to "/about%us/news%&%events/company%news/% it fails to display any news.

Any advise?

Re: multiple news sections
Ok I think I can get method 2 to work now. My mistake was that with SelectNodesPathType set to AliasPath my SelectNodesPath should be /About-Us/News---Events/Company-News. Hopefully i can now use the one News table to hold news items from various sections of web site.

Note: Please let me know if there are any better methods!

Thanks

Re: multiple news sections
Hello,

Thank you for your post. If I understand it well, you do not need to use two document templates or any additional field - you only need to modify the controls on the page template so that they display the news items from the appropriate site section.

Best Regards,
