One of my favorite Kentico 6.0 features is built-in
REST service that allows you to read, create, update and delete any object and document within the system by requesting simple and intuitive URLs. However, development and troubleshooting without proper testing tool can be, let's say, challenging. I have therefore decided to create a simple module that can be imported into existing Kentico instance and used to test your custom REST queries. Check-out this post for more details.

Have you heard them saying 'No Cache, No Gain'? Well, it is actually 'No Pain, No Gain' and you typically hear it from a personal trainer in the gym, but we could use it as a nice metaphor in website terminology too. The bottom line is if you do not put effort in setting caching for your website properly do not expect any gain in scalability and performance. In this blog post I will explain not only what the Kernel Cache is and how it works, but also how to configure it and what performance improvement you may expect.

I have got a chance to do code review for one of our client's recently and I thought I would share results with you. You should learn a bit more about our API and how it influences overall website performance. I would also like to use this sample code review to demonstrate what we can do as part of Kentico Professional Services.

I must confess- I haven't contributed to my blog for quite a time now. I was just too busy these days; however, I decided it's time to bring you something valuable again. Thus, I'd like to introduce a new kind of series of Knowledge Base (KB) articles and posts that would discuss topics I came across while working on various projects with our customers. Read about first 5 topics in here!

When your passion is in spreading word over the internet, you probably find a great potential in contributing to various blogging sites like Blogger.com or Thoughts.com. Working on your post using browser-based blog interface, you may sooner or later face an unpleasant situation when something goes wrong down the road. If you lose connection while a post is being published or your browser crashes accidently, hundreds of lines of your thoughts disappear and you cannot get them back. That is where the desktop blog-publishing tool comes in handy. One of my favorites is Windows Live Writer (
http://download.live.com/writer). It is completely free. I’d like to show you what you can do with WLW integrated with Kentico CMS. First part is more about a user experience; however, I’ll cover all integration details later as well.
