Focus Group: Kentico Deliver Now! Methodology
It has been almost a year since we have released our very first methodology - Kentico Deliver Now! With the upcoming major release of Kentico CMS 6.0 it is time to revise the current methodology and update it with additional enterprise related topics and include more real world scenarios best practices. We need YOU to help us determine what areas should be improved to make it even more useful and valuable for you and all Kentico users.
The main goal of the Kentico Deliver Now! methodology is provide you (Project Managers, System Architects, Integration Specialists, etc.) with an easy-to-follow guide that would describe Kentico
CMS project development process step-by-step before the actual implementation takes place. It should give you all the important information you need in order to finish you projects faster, using less resources, matching higher quality products while holding your budget reasonable.
Why revision?
The first version of methodology was prepared using experience and feedback we got from clients while working on their projects, addressing different issues and getting projects to roll in the right direction. The response to methodology was positive overall and so it really seems we have done good job.
Although I still meet partners and clients that feel we should either extend the scope of the methodology or enhance existing parts. Furthermore, the release of
Kentico CMS 6.0 is almost here and as long as several features included within 6.0 makes things easier I need to reflect these in the methodology text as well.
What we need you for?
If you are with Kentico for some time you most probably noticed we are definitely client driven
CMS. The most features you get with the new release were implemented because you asked for it. We listen carefully to all our clients for simple reason - we want to make product that you love and ultimately enjoy to work with. It is not just a cliché, it is a fact.
That is why I want you - experienced Kentico partners - to share your thoughts about what you would expect from revised methodology. I am completely positive you have something to say and I am thrilled to hear it!
