FormExtensions.BeginWrappingElement Method

Renders the start tag of wrapping HTML element based on configuration. An empty string is returned, when configuration is null or does not specify an ElementName.

Parameters

htmlHelper

Type: Kentico.Web.Mvc.ExtensionPoint<HtmlHelper>
HtmlHelper extension point.

configuration (Optional)

Type: Kentico.Forms.Web.Mvc.ElementRenderingConfiguration
Configuration object for the wrapping element.

Return Value

Type: MvcHtmlString
Returns start tag of wrapping HTML element or an empty string.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type ExtensionPoint<HtmlHelper>. Exceptions

Exception	Condition
ArgumentNullException	Thrown when htmlHelper is null.
InvalidOperationException	Thrown when CustomHtml is used but CONTENT_PLACEHOLDER is missing.
