Installation: 0. Before installation: - You should have a ready copy of Kentico 9. You are not required to have any existing websites on your instance of Kentico 9. - You should have permission to import and configure your Kentico. 1. Importing package: Step 1: - Copy the package downloaded from Marketplace to folder \CMSSiteUtils\Import of your website's source code. (Or go to Sites > Import site or objects > Upload package) - Select the copied/uploaded package from the selection list. - We recommend you to choose 'Preselect only new items' which will prevent from override any existing components which have the same name with our components. - Click on Next. - Kentico should now process the package. Step 2: - You can either choose 'Import a new site' or 'Import objects to site'. * Choosing 'Import objects to site' will require additional configurations later. - Click on Next. Step 3: - Click on All objects > - Underneath 'Import settings', make sure 'Import code files' and 'Import custom assembly files' are checked. - Go to All objects > Website > Content management > Media libraries - Check on boxes 'Import media files' and 'Import physical files' - Click on Next. - Kentico should now process the importing. 2. Configurations: Step 1: - Go to System > Macro > Signatures - Check on 'Old salt: Sign all macros' box. - Click on 'Update macro signatures'. This is to re-sign all macro signatures from old configuration (ours). Step 2: - Go to Settings > URLs and SEO - Clear textbox 'Friendly URL extension'. This is to allow the site to use extensionless URLs. If you chose to 'Import a new site', the site should now be ready for evaluation. Please leave feed back. Thanks. 3. Additional configuration: (if chose 'Import objects to site') - Go to Pages. Click on the top content (root node) of your content tree. - Select tab 'Template' and select template 'Pods Master Page'. Then Save. - Select tab 'Page' and select your desired logos for Dark and Light theme. * You can choose the same logo for both theme, but make sure it looks nice on both theme. We have sample logos ready in the site's Default media library. - Go to Pages, there should be a content tree underneath your root content. Expand content Home and Homepage Slider. There are 2 sample slide content there. * You can select any images for slides, but we have sample images for you in the site's Default media library. - Your site should now be ready for evaluation.
