Merge collisions

The Merge collisions dialog window enables you to set properties of the parent contact to which the currently selected contacts will be merged. It may have up to three tabs depending on the contacts' settings:

Fields tab

Here you can set the built-in properties of the parent contact into which the currently selected contacts will be merged. Choose an appropriate value from the drop-down list or enter a new value by typing it into the field. Please note that a particular value is offered only if at least one of the merged contacts' values is not empty in the respective field.

If any values are offered for a given field, the Approve icon indicates that the system didn't detect a collision and made a selection of the value automatically. However, the Warning icon indicates a detected collision and the value filled in a particular field is not suggested by the system. Please note that in both these cases, the value can be further modified.

Custom fields tab

Here you can set the custom properties of the parent contact into which the currently selected contacts will be merged.

Accounts tab

Here you can resolve the conflict of contact roles by manually choosing a role for the parent contact into which the currently selected contacts will be merged.

When you have entered the values, click the Merge button to perform the merging or click Cancel to close the dialog window and discard the changes.
