Uploading fonts to Kentico

Shawn Ebeyer asked on November 30, 2015 20:03

Hi again,

I'm trying to upload some custom fonts to the CMS and am hitting a roadblock. If anyone can assist, would be very appreciated.

Cheers and thanks,

Shawn

Hi Shawn,

what actions did you take?

You might not be able to upload a specific file extension like *.woff

you could allow extra extensions in the Settings - Files - Security - Upload extensions. Kentico should now allow you to upload these files.

Kind regards,

David

Hello Shawn, we will need a bit more information on what issues you are running into that are causing the roadblock here. Can you describe the process you have taken and what issues you are running into with it? Are you trying to add it to be available in the WYSIWYG editor? If so you can view this devnet post:

Thanks David and Timothy,

I've allowed my file types in Upload Extensions but am not getting where I actually upload my font files - and how they are pointed to my css.

Thanks again,

Shawn

Actually - even after setting file types to allow, I'm getting error messages saying the file types I'm trying to upload are not valid.

Thanks in advance if anyone has any suggestions,

Shawn

Hi Shawn,

We included a folder in CMS/App_Themes/Sitename and put our font folder in there. We then added a custom stylesheet into Kentico. We mainly did it this way as we only wanted to included a set of icons as fonts.

I hope that helps

Alan
