Technical Webinar: Kentico Draft for Developers

   —

Kentico Draft is a powerful, cloud-based service that can simplify content creation and collection. Using a powerful API behind the scenes, Draft allows content to be entered and maintained in a single location by multiple contributors. The Kentico Draft team has released a free module, to help developers working with the tool, to allow content to flow seamlessly into your Kentico applications.

In this technical webinar, Kentico Technical Evangelist Bryan Soltis will show you how to install the Kentico Draft Import Module, bring in content from Draft, and maintain your page types and site structure. Join this webinar and learn about all the great features Kentico Draft has available for developers.

Also, there was a question during the webinar about Draft supporting editable regions within Kentico that I answered incorrectly. Tomas from the Draft team clarified it with the following response:

"You can map a Draft text content element to a text Kentico page field. Then, you can display the field content in an editable region. However, we at Kentico Draft would like to embrace the structured content approach in a way that all content is in the content elements. This approach reduces incorrect rendering of content when e.g. a copywriter adds by mistake text that doesn’t fit the page template. If your page contains smaller content modules, you can use the Modular content feature in Kentico Draft. Shortly, we will add automatic import of modular content to the Import module."
