   —
Here it is - Kentico CMS v7 final has been officially released. It gives you a lot of new options for developing your web sites as well as improved existing features. Check out this article to see what is new...
Hi there,

I am happy to announce, that we have just officially released Kentico CMS 7 final at the Denver Connection conference.

It was a busy summer for all of us here at Kentico, but it was totally worth it. We were able to finalize things that we felt wouldn't be perfect if we released in June. We also implemented some most-wanted features that you felt were preventing you fully leveraging Kentico CMS from your advanced goals.

I have updated my document briefly describing the new features that come with v7 final, which you can download here:

KenticoCMS_7_Features.pdf (7MB)

The new v7 final features are listed amongst existing ones, but you can easily find them if you search for the term "v7 final".

I am sure you are wondering what will be next. V8? Probably yes - probably in a year's time. I won't tell you right now what it will be about, because before we make any final decisions, we want to talk to all of you more, validate whether the next most wanted features and their current priority is valid, and to meet overall trends. We actually have several possible roadmaps, and we want to make sure we select the right one. Therefore we will spend the next few months getting more feedback from you, giving more attention towards UserVoice requests, and once the right time comes for particular items, we will let you know.

No more talking, go ahead and enjoy the new version! You can download it from here:

Hi Steve,

Current estimate for upgrade is November 5th, unless we find some serious issues during the last round of final testing of the package, that should be the date when it will be available. Thank you for patience

Hi Martin,

We have several clients waiting on the 6->7 upgrade package. Any updated timescale on when that might be available?

Cheers,
Steve.

Hi Martin,
Great to see ver 7 finally out. Really keen on the new capabilities.

Having recently been to the MS Windows Server 2012 launch, can you tell me when ASP.NET 4.5, IIS8 and windows 2012 will be supported.

Thanks

Martin! Congratulations on the release. That was a hell of an effort. We have been using the demo and love it.

I think that the wireframing doc type is going to be useful.

Hope Denver is going well.

Congrats again

Marty

Hi Alex,

I totally forgot to mention it. Upgrade from v7 RC to final should be available at the beginning of October (probably released at the Prague Connection), and upgrade from v6 to v7 later in October (probably second half).

It is great, that you have released new Kentico! It is most expected product (even more expected then v6).

When will upgrade package be available?
