This article will explain why the Smart search is not working and it will show you how to make it working.
If you have exported your web site from 4.0 version of Kentico CMS and then imported it to the version 4.1, the Smart search is not working. Since the Smart search module is new in the 4.1 version, you need to set the fields of the document types which were imported to be searched by Smart search.
You need to go to S
ite Manager -> Development -> document types -> edit all the document types -> Search field tab -> and click on the Set automatically link to set the fields to default values for Smart search.
