Precompilation and Export Site suggestions
Full support for precompilation by directory. At present if you do this and deploy to target server kentico throws errors around virtualpathprovider. The workaround (for transformations etc.) is to actually write the virtualised files to the file system. It would be nice to have some setting like the one which tells kentico to use the file system for images, which allows one to tell kentico to use the file system for virtualised files, so the precompilation can work.

Export Site should work if you want to export and import a site over the top of another one. Currently you have to rename the site code name which is not ideal. A common scenario for us would be to have changed certain aspects of a website and then want to redeploy. Not all thigns are covered by export objects, and these are global anyway, so we want to re export the site and import only those aspects that have changed (e.g. documents, settings etc.). Also to have the ability to export and import sites using web services programmatically to cut out manual effort for automated build and deploy processes.

RE:Precompilation and Export Site suggestions
Hi Keith,

Thank you for your suggestions. The precompilation support will be available in 2.2. The "incremental export" would be very useful and we plan to add it in some of the nearest versions as well.
