Clean out User Contribution form after submit
Hello,

I added an User Contribution edit form in a page. And a list repeater below to display newly added content in the same page. After submission, content shows up on the repeater list, but the form still hold the copy. What I can do to clean out the form after submission?

Thanks!

Tony

RE:Clean out User Contribution form after submit
Hello.

May I ask you what the purpose of this change is? I mean when you simply delete values in all fields, add something else and hit Save button, it does not create new document, but update existing one.

So the solution depends on whether you want to create a new document, after the form is cleared, or update recently edited document. Can you clarify, please? Thank you.

RE:Clean out User Contribution form after submit
This UC form works a user comments form. User put feedback on this UC form, and the text show up below the form in a repeater. So it is creating a new document every time. From user experiences perspective, it would be nice once you submit your comment, the form is cleared.

Thanks!

RE:Clean out User Contribution form after submit
Hello.

Then we can go this way and try some customization of default web part, however, maybe we can solve it in another way, as we already have built-in functionality allowing users comment any article on your site. Beside some special implementations, like Comment view web part for Blog posts, we have Message boards module. The Message boards module enables site visitors to comment on the content of a particular page. You can find more info including some example here. Would this solution be OK with you, or can't you use it for some reason, like insufficient license edition? Thank you.

RE:Clean out User Contribution form after submit
well...this is a different story. I know I can have this part done in a day with Message Board module. But client don't want "social function" like Message Board. So we have to use UC to create a fake Message Board. They are fine with that. Anyway, I guess that's the trade off they have to take it.
