Script error
Hi, we're receiving a script error when using the editor. It states:

An error as occurred in the script on this page.
Line: 51
Char: 1842
Error: Object doesn't support this property or method
Code: 0
URL: http://celero.dev/CMSAdminControls/CKEditor/ckeditor.js

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? Yes/No

We are using version 6.0 and using IE 8

Any ideas?

RE:Script error
Hi,

This is caused because there were a bug in CKeditor when working with IE8.

Please check that you don't have an input with name="submit", if yes, please rename it.

I would recommend you to go through the following articles:
1. Editor is unusable with DocType XHTML under IE8
2. Wysiwyg Javascript Errors in IE - "Object doesn't support this property or method"
3. Error: Object doesn't support this property or method

Or update your browser :)

Best regards,
Martin Danko

RE:Script error
I'll give it a shot!

While I have the ability to update my browser most of my clients may not.

Thanks!

RE:Script error
Hi,

I understand, but IE8 is full of different bugs and JavaScript issues, so at least the windows updates should fix a lot of them. But as I know, unfortunately, people often don't use automatic updates.
