Wysiwyg editor is not showing
I created the ASPX pages based on templates, not everything works according to my liking except for one crucial thing entirely.

When editing text, I can not see Wysiwyg editor. The templates have placed elements EditableRegion, RegionType is HTMLEditor but CMSDesk I do not see a wysiwyg editor. I tried to change the content of succession, but it did not help. Where could be bug?

Thank you for any help.

Patrik

RE:Wysiwyg editor is not showing
Hi Patrik,

Could you please let me know which version of Kentico CMS are you using?

Have you done any customization to WYSIWYG Editor?

Which browser are you using? Have you tried different one?

Are you using any browser's extensions/plug-ins?

Please let me know whether you are using custom URL extensions?

Are there any logs related to this problem kept in Event log (Site manager -> Administration -> Event log)?

Best regards,
Michal Legen

RE:Wysiwyg editor is not showing
Hi,

Are you using javascript code on the template? If so, could you please try to remove it.
Could you please use FireBug tool to investigate if there are any error on the page?

RE:Wysiwyg editor is not showing
Template contained two javascripts that I removed, but the WYSIWYG editor is not so displayed.

Firebug found no error.

Would template code?

Hi,

What about the master page template? Are you using some javascripts on your master page template?

Could you please confirm that you have followed the documentation when creating your master page template as well as the page template?

http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/devguide/creating_a_new_aspx_page_template.htm
http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/devguide/using_the_master_pages.htm

Could you please send us your page template as well as your master page template files to support@kentico.com so we can investigate this issue?

Best regards,
Miro Remias.

RE:Wysiwyg editor is not showing
MasterPage when creating a template of all I followed the manual.
Yet I can think of, whether the problem can not be use of components from Telerik RadControls.

RE:Wysiwyg editor is not showing
Hi,

For other visitors, this problem was not caused by 3rd party controls or by some custom javascripts, but by browser settings. Once the browser settings were reset to default, everything is working just fine.

Also, Google Chrome browser is not supported in Kentico CMS UI (User Interface) for content editors, only IE, Firefox and Safari are:

http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/devguide/system_requirements.htm

Best regards,
Miro Remias.

RE:Wysiwyg editor is not showing
Hello,

Version 5.x of Kentico CMS used the FCK Editor. Development of FCK Editor was stopped in February 2010 and there are no further updates, nor bug fixes being produced by this company. This essentially means the FCK Editor has problems in IE9 and later versions of both Firefox and Chrome. The FCK Editor does not support these browsers, so you would either need to downgrade your current browser, or upgrade your Kentico version to version 6.x where we are using the CK Editor.

Best Regards,
Edward Hillard
