Full-featured SWF video player?
Hi all,

We have a video library made up of SWF files. Right now, we use some javascript to open the SWF player by passing the URL associated with the SWF file in the media library. While this works OK, it doesn't give us as nice a display as something like the Flowplayer available through this web part:

http://www.littlewhitecloud.co.uk/The-Latest/September_2009/New_Kentico_Web_Parts.aspx

Unfortunately, I couldn't find a way to make this web part work for multiple files. Ideally, I would like to be able to pass different URLs to the same player and have it play the appropriate video in a standalone player. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

RE:Full-featured SWF video player?
Hi Aim,

This product was developed by a third party not Kentico CMS. Could you please contact Richard Boyd (http://www.littlewhitecloud.co.uk/About-Me) who probably developed this web part?

Best regards,

RE:Full-featured SWF video player?
Helena,

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll do that. However, I wanted to see if anyone had a suggestion for an alternative that might work better. For example, this link:

http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/devguide/index.html?configuring_custom_file_types.htm

suggests a way to use a third-party program to view files. I'm wondering if this would be a better route for me to go?

RE:Full-featured SWF video player?
Hello,

You can use the same approach as in our Developer's Guide. It will work for any number of videos on the page.

We do not have a license for any swf player that is why we recommend downloading it externally.
