Dropdown Menu - Firefox
The dropdown menu works perfectly in IE, but, in Firefox, the dropdown appears to the left of the entire menu and won't disappear unless I refresh the page. This issue seem to only happen on the home page, also. Problem exists on a few sites I've developed...4.0 and the new 4.1. Any suggestions?

RE:Dropdown Menu - Firefox
Hello,

Could you please tell us what version of Firefox you use? Do you use any custom javascript on the page? What other controls/web parts do you use there? I tried the dropdown menu in FF and it worked perfectly.

Best Regards,

I'm having this same issue with Firefox now. IE and Chrome are fine. FF is competely up to date. What did you do to get around it?

RE:Dropdown Menu - Firefox
Hello,

Could you please give me more details?
1) What other controls do you use on the page where the problem occurs?
2) Do you use any custom javascript on the page?
3) What version of Kentico CMS do you use?
4) Have you applied any hotfix package?

I will try to simulate the problem on my machine.

Best regards

RE:Dropdown Menu - Firefox
Hi,

I was not able to reproduce this issue on your web site using Firefox 3.5.5. Are you using any Firefox add-ons or extensions? If this is the case, could you please try to disable them?

Best regards,
Miroslav Remias.

Disabled on add-ins and extensions. Still fails. Updated to 3.5.5. Still fails. It doesn't always fail on the home page. Try this page: http://work.montcalm.edu/Getting-Started/Arrange-for-Transcripts.aspx

RE:Dropdown Menu - Firefox
Hi,

In source of your page I have found following javascript definition:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://s7.addthis.com/js/250/addthis_widget.js?pub=xa-4a96d0516f8d0a3d"></script>

Could you please try to remove this code and let me know what the result is?

Best regards,
Miroslav Remias.

RE:Dropdown Menu - Firefox
That was it. Sorry I didn't think about the Add This widget when you asked about custom javascript.

Thanks

RE:Dropdown Menu - Firefox
Hi, Sorry to bump up a dead thread, but I am developing for a website which uses Kentico 4.0. I am curious as to the reason why using custom JavaScript messes up the menu. Is there a workaround? I'm putting most of my JS into iframes which is a workaround, but some stuff which requires dynamic data is rendered useless. Is this fixed in newer versions?

Hi,

have you tried to add noConflict parameter to your java script code?

In case it will not help, could you please share your code?
