Viewing a site with a trial license
Hi,
Am I correct in thinking I'm not able to view a website because I am only using a trial license? I can view/work with a site when running it from within VS 2005, but when I try to run it from a web browser I get 'page not found' do I need a local license to view/work with the site outside VS? If so could I please have one.

cheers

Re: Viewing a site with a trial license
Hi,

Thank you for your message. The trial license is limited to http://localhost. If you get 'page not found' error, it's not caused by the license restrictions, but by some configuration issue on your machine. Please note that VS 2005 uses a built-in web server that is run only with VS 2005 and it uses a different port every time it starts.

If you need to open the web site without VS 2005, you need to configure the IIS server on your machine and have a virtual directory for the Kentico CMS web site. This virtual directory must be configured for ASP.NET 2.0.

Please let me know if you need any help with that.

Best Regards,
