Web Farm 2 web servers, 1 SQL cluster
Hi Guys,

According to http://devnet.kentico.com/Forums/f1/t3860/Web-farms-setup.aspx we need to have the site configures in both servers before we activate web farming.

I have a export from the site in staging, that i'm to import on the production servers, does this mean I have to do the import on both servers?

What about the database, when I do the import on the second server, do I use the same database? Will kentico figure out it is already imported, and just modify the local server files?

I'm clear on what needs to be done when the sites are running, http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/devguide/index.html?defining_web_farm_servers.htm

Just confused how to get there! Please advise?

RE:Web Farm 2 web servers, 1 SQL cluster
Hello,

The idea for Web farms is to have two (or more) servers with identical but separate project folders using the same database.

If your Staging server has to correct data, please copy that project folder to your Production server. Once the project files are copied to Production, please update the Web.config to connect to the same database as the Staging server.

Once both servers are up and running, please ensure you Web farm settings are configured as per the documentation.

Best Regards,
Sandro
