Google sitemap

I have recently pushed a client website live and I wanted to use the built-in googlesitemap feature that comes with Kentico CMS.

The sitemap can be viewed here:
http://www.c-thruwindowcleaning.co.uk/cmspages/sitemap.aspx

and the URL submitted to Google webmaster service is
http://www.c-thruwindowcleaning.co.uk/cmspages/sitemap

However Google seems unhappy with what it found and I get a similar error for each node of the sitemap:

Invalid date
An invalid date was found. Please fix the date or formatting before resubmitting.
Parent tag: url
Tag: lastmod
Value:

Since Google seems unhappy with the empty <lastmod/> tag, is there a way to embed the last modified date?

Thanks for the reply. I downloaded the hotfix for .Net 3.5 but I am afraid I did not go very far.

Step #2 (in the hotfix installation guide) recommends running any SQL script if present, which is the case.

However when I run the later in SQL Server Management Studio I get a whole string of error like this:

Msg 208, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
Invalid object name 'CMS_WebPart'.

After checking the source code, it appears the latter is using a short version of the qualified name (the same table being called db_owner.CMS_WebPart on my server).

Obviously I could update the script accordingly but I was wondering if you would have a better solution?

Isn't it possible that this user account has set different objects owner that it is used? You need to use user account which can work with "db_owner" schema. Best Regards, Juraj Ondrus

Hi Juraj

My apologies for the slow feedback.

Following your last post I had a closer a look at my SQL Server settings and I am happy to say that your hint was the good one.

Although the user account was a member of ‘db_owner’ the fact that its default schema was ‘dbo’ did not seem to go down too well.

Compared to previous attempt I also ran the script after logging to the server under the login account and not my Windows one.

The rest of the update process (i.e. copying the files over) went smoothly and googlesitemap.aspx seems to work as it should.
