Accessing Sharepoint 2010 Documents
Hi,

If some Word/PDF documents are held in an Intranet on Sharepoint 2010, can Kentico running on a front-end web server allow access to these, assuming the Kentico server can access the Sharepoint web services?

I'm having trouble finding examples of how to do this, and the end user must be accessing the actual document, not a simple link to the sharepoint version, as they wouldn't have direct access to the intranet SP site.

Thanks!

RE:Accessing Sharepoint 2010 Documents
Hi,

I am not sure what you mean exactly. Do you mean editing of the documents? Or what does it mean "direct access"?

Editing is not supported, regrettably. Please see here: Sharepoint overview for more information.

RE:Accessing Sharepoint 2010 Documents
Hi,

This isn't for editing, I just meant that want to be able to serve the actual document to the end user direct from Kentico, rather than linking to something that they then can't access.

I've tried adding the SharePointDataSource to a test page, and it doesn't seem to display anything from Sharepoint. I'm just trying to use the "Display Site Lists" option at the moment.

Our Sharepoint 2010 intranet site is windows authenticated, so i've specified the logon credentials in the web part as domain\user - is this correct?

Thanks!

RE:Accessing Sharepoint 2010 Documents
Hi,

could you please use the global settings for Sharepoint credentials and check the Use windows authentication checkbox? Please see here: Sharepoint settings for more details.
