Upgrade from 3.0 -> 4.x
Am I correct in assuming I must upgrade from 3.0 to 3.1a and then 4.0 ?

Are there any known upgrade issues ?

Also if there are some custom code for inline controls and navigation, should they still work, or is there a place I can check to see if the API changed ?

Im trying to search the site to find some answers but not having much luck.

Hello.

Yes, you will need to do upgrade from 3.0 to 3.1 (http://www.kentico.com/downloads/updates/KenticoCMS_3_0_to_3_1.zip), from 3.1 to 3.1a (http://www.kentico.com/downloads/updates/KenticoCMS_3_1_to_3_1a.zip) and from 3.1a to 4.0 (http://www.kentico.com/Downloads/Updates/KenticoCMS_3_1a_to_4_0.zip). As for upgrade issues, there should be none, but it depends on what customization you have done, etc.
As for API changes, it is possible that there will be some some changes in namespaces or class names (or their location), so, in your custom code, you will maybe need to update it according to our API reference file.
