QueryString Macros and Caching
I am using a querystring macro in the Properties > Metadata > Page title:
{%documenttitle%}
This works fine on the first use, however when the page is re-visited with a new "documenttitle" value, the old value is still used.

I have selected "No" for the cache of that page under Properties > General > Cache, but the problem still exists. The new value does appear after waiting, however.

How can I turn off this caching behavior?

RE:QueryString Macros and Caching
Hello,

Unfortunately I was unable to reproduce this issue with disabled caching in 'Properties > General > Cache' and enabled caching in Settings. Could you please let me know if you have selected 'no' for the cache during the testing? It may take some time before this setting take effect (data that are already cached are not cleared). Could you please try to restart application and try if this issue still happens? If so, could you please let me know what version of Kentico CMS you use? Thank you in advance.

Best Regards,

Martin Dobsicek

RE:QueryString Macros and Caching
I found another post that seemed related: http://devnet.kentico.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=40&Thread=00006888. But the suggestion there did not help.

I have set Properties > General > Cache to No for my "Print" page on all tests.

The application has been restarted many times and the issue still exists.

Kentico is version 4.0.

You may test out the problem for yourself on the site:

http://www.ipaglobal.com/
1. Select "Services" on the menu bar
2. Select "Printable format" at the bottom of the page and note the title in the browser
3. Select "Industries" on the menu bar
4. Select "Printable format" at the bottom and notice the title in the browser is wrong

The problem does go away after cacheing limit (10 minutes in my case) is reached. My current cache settings under Settings > Web site are:

Cache content (minutes) : 10
Cache images (minutes) : 10
Cache page info (minutes) : 0 (changed from 10 based on suggestion in post above but did not help)

RE:QueryString Macros and Caching
Hi,
that's strange, do you think it will be possible to send us export of your website to our support, so we can try to investigate it and find the source of this problem?
