Error when trying to add new pages through cmsdesk

I am trying to add new content pages through the admin and am recieving the following error. It looks like I have a web.config key wrong somewhere. Can anyone point me to the key I should be checking for the following error:

The data at the root level is invalid. Line 16, position 13. (stack trace).

the address on the site i am using is not the default "/" it is one folder deep, so the root of the site is something like www.test.com/newsite
