Kentico 6 was initially developed on SDK version 1.5. There are also no issues running Kentico on Azure SDK 1.6. However, there were some changes made in version 1.7 of the SDK which made Kentico incompatible. These changes have now been incorporated into Kentico 7. So, in conclusion, Kentico 6 and older works with SDK 1.6 and older, and Kentico 7 works with SDK 1.7.
