New Kentico CMS and EMS Pricing from January 1, 2014

   —
We will be introducing a new price list starting from January 1, 2014. Please read this blog post to learn more about upcoming changes. If you plan to purchase a new license or upgrade, you will benefit from purchasing it before January 1, 2014.
As you know, we haven't changed our pricing significantly in the past 4 years. The last major price change was in December 2009, followed by a minor change in server license pricing last year. Today, we feel the current pricing no longer reflects the value of our product with the enhancements we have made over the past 4 years. When we compare the value of the Kentico product and pricing, it is far below our competitors' pricing. One of our key business objectives is to balance an affordable market cost that will allow you to use Kentico across all size projects with a pricing model that allows us to grow our product innovation, a healthy ecosystem and a responsive support network. Ultimately, this combination makes a saleable product for our mid-market customer.

Based on these assumptions, we will introduce a new price list starting from January 1, 2014 that you can find here:

Starting from January 1, 2014, the Base License will also contain unlimited E-commerce and Forums. This will ensure that our E-commerce pricing remains highly affordable and at a competitive level. Existing customers who already have the Base License and have a valid maintenance will receive the unlimited E-commerce and Forums functionality when they upgrade to version 8. The Base License will only be available through Kentico Solution Partners.

Please note: if you’re a partner, please read additional details in our announcement in the Partner Portal.

The maintenance renewal price will remain as it is for customers who purchased their license before January 1, 2014.

If you plan to purchase a new license or upgrade, you will benefit from purchasing it before January 1, 2014.
