Kentico Websites Upgraded to Version 7
Hooray! Kentico’s websites have finally been upgraded to Kentico EMS 7, so that we too can leverage all its great features! We managed to keep website outage down to 45 minutes. The automatic upgrade procedure was really helpful, but of course we had to prepare the upgrade of our custom code in advance. What are we looking forward to using the most? Read on.
Our Internal Team responsible for Kentico's websites is keen to use the Team Development feature during web development, which will cause fewer grey hairs from re-written data stress. Moreover, preview in the code editors such as CSS and transformation will definitely help to speed up our work.
Another great change is that Data.com and SalesForce are fully integrated in version 7 and not just a marketplace package. And we are really happy that version 7 will give us better support of mobile devices profiles.
Other departments will gain from this upgrade, too. For example, Marketing and Sales departments have been eagerly awaiting the Marketing Automation feature, which will greatly increase their productivity by automating the sending of e-mails to our leads. (And hopefully bring us more customers as well ;)
And I'm sure everyone at Kentico responsible for editing content on our websites will really appreciate the new On-site Editing capability.
