A little poll for you. We are interested in the versions of Microsoft products you plan to use with Kentico CMS in your next projects.

Hi there,

We are making plans for the new versions so I wanted to ask you few questions. Specifically, make a poll for that.

You probably know that we support not only the latest versions of the framework, but also older ones and for that reason we are often limited by the resources from the lower versions. The decision has to be made on which will be the oldest versions we will support.

ASP.NET version

We are considering to get rid of ASP.NET 2.0 and go for ASP.NET 3.5 as the code base, because it is already very widely spread so this shouldn't make much difference from your servers point of view. I would like to know if you are still strictly on the 2.0 or willing to go to 3.5. If you don't mind using 3.5 in your next project, please vote for 3.5.

Which framework version will you use in your new projects during 2010?
ASP.NET 2.0 (VS 2005)

13
ASP.NET 3.5 (VS 2008)

45
The poll is closed.

SQL Server version

We are also considering to get rid of the SQL 2000 and start with SQL 2005, which is also on the market for quite a long time now. So again, this shouldn't be too complicated for you to migrate if you are still on SQL 2000. Same here, if you are on some lower version but you don't mind to go higher with new version, vote for the higher one so we know what we can do.

Which SQL Server version will you use for the new projects in 2010?
SQL 2000

2
SQL 2005

24
SQL 2008

30
The poll is closed.

The polls are open until the end of the June. Have fun voting :-)
