The beginning of the year has been a busy time at Kentico, and we have already introduced some excellent Kentico projects to you from our Site of the Year 2012 competition. One week after the winners were announced, we are ready to present you with our best projects of January 2013.
Run to the Beat, an event powered by Nike+, is London's Music Half Marathon. Now gearing up for its sixth installment at the O2 Arena, a massive 18,500 runners are expected to run. The London's Music Half Marathon course takes in multiple stages featuring today's best music talent en route, with the main stage located at the start and finish. The Run to the Beat website, which is powered by Kentico CMS, provides crucial event information, like marathon route, featured music bands, race results, associated charities, advice on participation, available facilities and galleries of photos and videos from previous years. It even allows users to register their interest for the upcoming race. Net Solutions developed this website for IMG , who was contacted by Nike to create a website for the “Run to the beat” event.

Real Insurance requested Adrenalin Media redesign their brand website with a focus on educating users of Real Insurance’s various product offerings. The goal was to increase user conversions, either in online purchases or finding out more about the products. Custom development included the integration of the website with their CRM platform as well as migration of content from the previous website. The site is accessed by over 1 million users per month and now, having only recently launched, showcases a renewed user experience with great success in conversions!

The University of St Andrews recently opened a high-end retail store which sells luxury branded products. The aim of the site was to recreate the look and feel of the site online to extend the reach of the University store to a much wider audience. Its simple and elegant design and structure, backed with Kentico out of the box ecommerce features, makes purchasing really simple. Custom integration with the Fashionmaster stock feeds ensures the University can manage and maintain both their online and offline stock with ease. Since its soft-launch at the beginning of January, the site has had more than 5,500 visitors, with nearly £4,500 worth of sales made in just over a month of business.

Seventyeight Digital was engaged to develop this consumer-focused tourism website. A custom component integrated into the central CMS platform provides the ability to create on-demand micro sites designed to support targeted marketing initiatives, specialty events and seasonal campaigns. The interactive mapping interface serves as a vehicle for consumers to explore and consume information on the site while an optimized mobile web version ensures cross-device compatibility for all tablet and smart phone devices. A premium was placed on experiential imagery - introducing consumers to the region from a visual perspective.

Securatrak provides turn-key GPS tracking hardware and software solutions for organisational fleets located throughout Australasia. The site primarily needs to act as an information source for existing and potential customers as well as an “affirmation” for potentials that Securatrak is the right partner to engage with. Throughout the site, Netstarter have integrated web parts that use page form fields to pull content and images into other pages dynamically. Salesforce forms are integrated using iframes that show static HTML pages, so leads from the website automatically flow into Salesforce.

Find a Room is Australia’s premier accommodation and holiday destination search website. The primary goals in this initial phase were to allow a Mobile Experience using Responsive Design as well as increasing exposure on Search Engines. Personalization has been implemented with custom modules allowing search engine keywords to effect what the end user sees. This feature will allow Find a Room to show relevant content based on what the user searched for.

The Thai Ministry of Defense supervises the operations and administration of the Thai military establishment and coordinates military policies with other governmental agencies. This project was a real challenge with more than 20 different sub-domains included. The deadline was very tight, with only 90 days to complete it. The client required many features such as Forum, Content Management, Web Stats, File Management, etc. Softde''but decided to use Kentico CMS Ultimate version with unlimited sites, which helped them to deliver the project on time.
