The virtual meeting place for Australia’s Football Fan Network, the Green & Gold Army, was awarded the Website of the Year (Eastern Region) in the Culture & Events category at the 2011 Australian Web Awards.
GGArmy.com underwent a complete rebuild early this year with Melbourne development house Get Started, transforming the site from a simple fan space into a multi-layered portal, including constant football news, social media integration, multimedia galleries and an electronic magazine.
The site faced stiff opposition from the Australian Olympic Committee’s 2012 London site and the official site of Aussie F1 driver Mark Webber.

Tampa web design firm Bayshore Solutions won a MarCom Award recognition for Straz Center website designs. The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition with over 5,000 entries each year from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers.
The new custom website development showcases interactive features such as video, production photos, song samples, and more. The website platform was built on the Kentico Content Management System framework allowing more frequent and customized content updates, ease of use for non-technical users, and a robust ASP.Net/SQL Server platform for agile integration with existing back office systems.
