New and Free in the Marketplace: Facebook Interaction Fan Gate

   —
Display different content for fans & non-fans of your Facebook Page on a custom Facebook tab and edit this content directly from your Kentico CMS website.
Mirko Melone from eLogic, a Kentico Gold partner from Italy, recently developed the Facebook Interaction Fan Gate web part for Kentico CMS. This web part allows you to display different content for fans & non-fans of your Facebook Page on a custom Facebook Page Tab.

First of all, you need to have your Facebook Page Tab (now also called timeline app) pointing to a page in your Kentico website configured. For more information on how to set up this custom Page Tab, read the Facebook tutorial.

Custom Page Tab

Then just add the Facebook Interaction Fan Gate web part to the specified page and select the web part mode in the web part properties. You can choose from three web part modes:

1. Editable Content Mode
In this mode, an Editable text area with three tabs (Page liked, Page NOT liked and Page NOT in Facebook) will be shown on the Kentico Page tab. On the Page liked tab, you can edit the content, which will be displayed only to users who 'Like' your Facebook page.

On the Page NOT liked tab, you can edit the content displayed to users who haven't 'Liked' your page.
Content of the Page NOT in Facebook tab will be displayed to users who visit the page directly on your Kentico website.

2. WebPart Mode
With this mode selected, web parts included in the current page will be displayed to users. Also in this mode it is possible to display different content to users who Like your Facebook page, those who don't Like it and those who visit the page directly. You only need to specify the web part ID's for each of these scenarios in the Facebook Interaction Fan Gate web part properties.

3. Redirect Mode
If the Redirect Mode is selected, users will be redirected to the URLs defined in the web part properties when visiting the page. Again, it is possible to set different URLs for users who Like your Facebook page, those who don't Like it and those who visit the page directly.

The Facebook Interaction Fan Gate web part is offered for free. To download it, please visit the Kentico Marketplace.
